Australia has closed its borders for international students and travelers for over 18 months now. In recent news, Australia is planning to open its international borders as more and more people are getting vaccinated.
In this video, we have covered recent news regarding international borders where international students could return to NSW before WA and Australia may open their borders to international students. We have also covered what is the current vaccination rate in Australia and when will the eligible population in Australia reach 80% vaccination and towards the end, our host Devarshi Desai has mentioned when does he think international students will be able to return to Australia.
Snapshot - As of 4th September 2021, over 72% of the eligible people in New south wales have gotten their first dose of vaccine. Whereas 52% of the eligible people in the states like WA and Queensland have gotten their first dose of the vaccine.
Based on the current prediction, it looks like by October 29 70% of the eligible people in Australia would be fully vaccinated, and by Movember 15th 80% of the eligible people in Australia would be fully vaccinated.
The fastest states to reach 80% vaccination would be the Australian Capital Territory and New south wales by 24th and 31st October respectively. And last two states to reach 80% vaccination would be QLD and WA by 7th and 9th December respectively.
