I recently picked up the #audient Evo 16 and two of the new Audient SP8 preamps, for a total of 24 ins and 24 outs, each of the inputs able to use Audient's Smart Gain feature!

One thing I didn't care for was the naming convention the interface presented to REAPER (and other DAWs) for the inputs and outputs, especially since i keep my drums miked at all times. Fortunately REAPER has the option to rename or "alias" inputs and outputs to match whatever suits your workflow. In this tutorial, we'll learn how. This is quite handy for connections that are semi-permanent, or if you're using outboard gear and would like the inputs and outputs to reflect those connections, instead of names like ADAT-9.
