Two 100-carat diamonds, among other rare stones and jewels, are expected to fetch millions of pounds at a sale in Geneva next week.
A vivid yellow 100.09 carats diamond and a 103.46 carats diamond ring are expected to fetch between £2 million and £15 million when they are auctioned at Sotheby's in Geneva on May 13, 2014.
"There are some exceptional jewels, including two diamonds each of them weighing 100 carats or more," David Bennett, chairman of Sotheby's Switzerland says.
"One hundred carat diamonds is clearly a magical number for diamonds because once it gets to 100 carats it's into the realm of extreme rarity.
"The highlight, probably the star of the sale, is the 100.09 carat Graff Vivid Yellow as it is called, in the book of famous diamonds. It is this extraordinary deep daffodil yellow. It is a charming stone, full of life, full of colour. We are estimating it at between $15 and $25 million (£9 million and 15 million)."
