Here's my attempt to recreate one of the most famous keyboard solos of progressive music! ;)
The first step was find the same synth presets mr. Tony Banks used on the studio version (basically a monophonic synth, the APR PRO SOLOIST), then I worked on the effects to add (fuzz box, chorus, tape delay, reverb, EQ).
Finally I recorded my solo part over the original track, reducing sometimes the volume to let you better hear what I was playing.
