In 2009 Lach announced that he was leaving the Sidewalk Cafe where he hosted the world's longest running open stage, Lach's Antihoot for over fifteen years. Lach is credited with providing the launching ground for hundreds of performers including such artists as Beck, Regina Spektor, The Moldy Peaches, Rick Shapiro, Hamell on Trial, Nellie McKay to name just a few who have gone on to international recognition.
