The Patina Collective presented an eclectic lineup of classic AMG Mercedes vehicles, including some historically significant models and unique tribute builds. Before showcasing the AMG vehicles, they presented the meticulously-crafted Gullwing tribute car, originating from an original 300 SL that had been repurposed into a hillclimb racecar after a crash. This modern iteration boasts a Chevy small block engine, offering robust performance combined with a fascinating mix of fiberglass and steel construction, and preserves many original Gullwing parts.
Another highlight was the "Red Pig," a tribute to the original 300 SEL 6.3 Race Car. Known for its pioneering role in AMG’s racing legacy, this car features a rare 6.9 engine and exemplifies the spirit of the 1970s AMG triumphs. Despite being a tribute, it closely mirrors the original with its performance and period-correct modifications. The Patina Collective also displayed a $150,000 AMG Hammer Engine.
