Disneyland’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Accident

Big Thunder, as it is known by many fans and theme park visitors, is one of the staple rides at Disneyland. Not only has it been notoriously safe, but the ride itself is also more favorable for those who do not enjoy the crazy G-forces from some of the other rides in the park. This meant that it had become a big favorite.

However, tragedy would strike in early September of 2003 when a man by the name of Marcelo Torres died after suffering a severe impact, which led to derailment of the train and internal bleeding. The Blunt Force Trauma would be fatal, while 10 others also found themselves injured and in need of medical care. This is the story of Disneyland’s Big Thunder Railroad Accident.
