(27 Mar 2016) Metro lines in Brussels that had been closed since Tuesday's suicide bomb attacks reopened this weekend.
Trains were not stopping on the key east-west lines passing through Maalbeek (Maelbeek) station, the scene of one of the bomb attacks.
The bombings exposed authorities' failures to prevent violence despite heightened concerns since the Paris attacks, which were plotted from Belgium.
