Nepal is one of my favorite countries, in Kathmandu is the Kopan Nunnery - my two favorite nuns in the world are right here.
They walked into my heart 4 years ago when I walked into their nunnery down the street from Kopan monastery in Kathmandu Nepal.
We laughed and talked Dharma for days. I'm inspired by them. They left heir homes in Tibet when the big China invasion happened. They fled to Nepal and became Buddhist nuns.
They get up at 3:30AM every day, study Buddhism, English and are on track to be the first geshe teachers which is a recent victory as before only men monks could be geshe. It's like allowing only men to get PHD's in Buddhism. Not cool.
So the nuns went to Dalai Lama and he changed it. Yay Dalai Lama!
