In this video I show what happens when you use 75/25 mig mix for tig welding. I did this by accident, the welding supply gave me the wrong type of bottle and I didn't check it before I started welding. I tried welding stainless steel for the first time and I ran into some problems with oxidation and the material burning away. I eventually figured out I had the wrong gas mix. I had 75/25 argon/carbon dioxide mix, which is for mig welding. I then get the right 100% argon gas and produce a better weld. It may not be perfect at all but its a good starting point for me to learn how to tig weld stainless steel.
