improve your guitar for pennies & what is a tremolo block. Block replacement on a Fender Strat
What is a tremolo block and to upgrade it, and how to get better sustain on my guitar with a very cheap upgrade that anyone can do. How to get better tone and sustain on any back sprung tremolo system in minutes for pennies. This works on Fender Stratocasters, Ibanez tremolos, Floyd Rose tremolos, PRS tremolos and any other tremolo where the springs are at the back. In this video I replace the tremolo block on an Fender American special Stratocaster.
I originally had a simple job that needed doing on a Fender Strat and that was to replace the block because the thread was gone for for the tremolo bar, so I thought I would film it in case anyone found it useful. However by the end of the video it turned into something else that I think people will find it even more interesting. The cheapest (and I mean cheap) modification you can do to any guitar with springs in the back of the tremolo is to use a bit of tubing to reduce unwanted noise, and this simple guitar modification can be undone just as quickly as it is done without leaving any clue that it was there. I fit this modification on a Fender American special Stratocaster and it take a few minutes and costs less than a pound.
