The patient is a 3-month-old male that has an impacted stone in the distal common bile duct. He underwent an ERCP with a successful cannulation of the ampulla. However, they were unable to retrieve the stone. The procedure conducted will be a cholecystectomy, common bile duct exploration, and most likely a balloon sphincteroplasty in order to flush the stone out of the system.
