Today we learn all about Orchid pots, which ones are suitable for Phalaenopsis Orchids and what size to use!

Orchid pots are usually different than normal house plants and there are very good reasons for it. Phalaenopsis orchids are epiphytes, they don't like soil and they need a very well ventilated pot.

The most popular orchid pots are the clear plastic pots. If they have extra ventilation features, it's even better! Here are the ones I use in this video [ Ссылка ]

Clay pots are a more elegant choice, especially the glazed ceramic ones! The one I use in this video can be found here [ Ссылка ]

When repotting orchids, the roots will attach more to clay pots, or other textured surfaces, than plastic pots.

The size of the pot needs to provide enough space not only for the existing roots, but also the new roots which the orchid will grow in about 2 years.
