A current transformer (CT) is an essential component of an EV charger installation where high electrical loads are present within the electrical installation or the incoming supply is limited.

The CT is located around one of the incoming supply tails and will limit or reduce EV charger demand when other high current using appliances are in use. This reduces the risk of blowing the main service fuse.

Making a connection between the EV charger and CT is easy when the EV charger is close to the supply. However in this installation the EV charger is over 30 meters away. This is where the MYENERGI Harvi comes to the rescue. A battery free and wireless current transformer which integrates seamlessly with all MYENERGI products.
