This system of lakes, rivers and hydro canals is famous for producing the world’s biggest trout. In 2020 the new IGFA all-tackle world record brown trout weighing 44 pounds, 5 ounces was landed here. That dwarfs my 12-pound 6-ounce wild brown trout. It’s the biggest trout I have ever caught fly fishing. Let me tell you the story of how it happened.
