For the first time in 15 years The Netherlands will host the Monster Energy MXoN. The event takes place September 28th. and 29th. 2019 at the famous TT Circuit Assen in the region of Drenthe.
The Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, or MXoN, is a rare annual showdown for motocross fans between the freshly crowned champions of the world championship and the superstars of another major motocross country, the United States.
Since 2013, an average of 40 different countries have participated with a delegation of three drivers each. The most successful countries in the history of the MXoN are Great Britain, Belgium and the United States. In 2016, the Netherlands finished on the MXoN podium for the first time in 15 years at the expense of Belgium (fourth) and repeated that podium finish in 2017 in England and 2018 in The United States. Jeffrey Herlings is the first ever Dutch Motocross World Champion in the MXGP category and the hero of Team Netherlands at the Monster Energy FIM MXoN.
