And so at last we rambled into Meath, the Royal County, the fifth province, the ancient Capital of Ireland. Meath of the Hills of Tara and Slane, the Lia Fáil, of Knowth and Dowth and Newgrange, of the River Boyne and of the ancient monastic settlement of KELLS, which has given the world the most beautiful book ever written, the Book Of Kells. In and around KELLS we met some brilliant characters including a witch at a Holy Well, a Silver Band and a Dusty Miller. I got a Cherry Blossom tree planted in honour of my song The Dance of The Cherry Trees, and I wrote and performed a brand new song for the town of Kells.... read more at [ Ссылка ]
