I found this gorgeous blue fabric in a remnant bin, and was inspired to make a dress like Ariana Grande's from her Jimmy Fallon appearance!
You can adjust the length of the skirt, and make a mini, midi or maxi version of the dress. Hopefully you are able to follow along and draft your own pattern for your bodice.
Materials I used for the project:
1.2 meters of fabric (I used ALL of my fabric, so depending on the width of your fabric you may need 1.5 meters)
Thread in a matching color
20 cm / 9 inch zipper in a matching color
a small piece of elastic (for the scrunchie)
scrap piece of fabric (make sure it fits around your bust, with room to pin in bodice darts)
marker
You could also substitute ribbon or cord for your straps, or possibly go strapless!
