Peyton Blitstein, 17, was killed when he and a former Greenwood Village Police Department (GVPD) officer fired shots at each other following an argument about careless driving, Aurora Police said.
After interviewing witnesses, APD said detectives determined the incident started with an argument between 36-year-old Adam Holen and a group of teenagers.
Aurora police and prosecutors are working to decide if Holen will face charges for shooting the teenager.
