On Sunday, Princess Iman bint Abdullah, the eldest daughter of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II, tied the knot with Jameel Alexander Thermiótis in a beautiful ceremony held in Amman. The wedding took place at 6:00 pm, and around 150 guests attended the event, none of whom were from the European Royal Family. The main theme of the wedding was simplicity, freshness, and warmth. The beauty of the sunset light could be felt, with flowers and trees looking gentle and gorgeous.
Princess Iman looked stunning in her bespoke Dior wedding gown, which was a breathtaking long-sleeved dress with a fitted bodice and full skirt with a gentle A-line silhouette. The crowning glory was a delicate diamond diadem by Chaumet. The groom, Jameel Alexander Thermiótis, looked dapper in a smart three-piece suit. The newlyweds looked radiant and could hardly contain their excitement about their big day as they posed for photographs during the ceremony.
The highly-anticipated wedding was broadcast live on Jordan TV News and was attended by members of the extended Jordanian royal family. Princess Iman arrived on the arm of her proud older brother, Crown Prince Hussein. In Jordanian weddings, the bride does not necessarily have to enter with her father. It is possible to choose the father, the brother, or even the bride herself.
Her future sister-in-law, Rajwa Al Saif, wore a striking yellow outfit from Roksanda while watching the ceremony. Rajwa will be the next Jordanian royal bride, as her wedding to Crown Prince Hussein takes place on June 1. The bride's sister, Princess Salma, wore a pink dress from Andrew Gn. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has worn the same dress before. The mother-of-the-bride, Queen Rania, was elegant in a blush pink gown by Dior and glittering diamond jewels.
On Instagram, Queen Rania described her daughter's wedding day as "a day unlike any other." Following the ceremony, the mother of the bride shared pictures, writing: "Iman, I pray this next chapter in your life brings you as much joy, love, and laughter as you have brought us over the years. Congratulations to the bride and groom!"
Representatives from every branch of Iman's grandfather, King Hussein's, and four wives' families can be seen in the big group photo. Among them is Bulgaria's Crown Princess Miriam, who married Abdullah's cousin last year.
Congratulations to Princess Iman and Mr. Thermiotis on this occasion, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness.
