The CRSN was founded by a group of enthusiastic students of the Master of Arts in Childhood Studies and Children’s Rights (MACR) at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, Germany. Dedicated to the field of the rights of children, every semester students produce great quality exam papers; we saw the need to publish them as a motivation and inspiration for other students, researchers, advocates but also the wider public. Going further, we realized how important it is to bring this academic work to children and adolescents, for how else will they learn about the research concerning their own rights? We strive to provide children with a possibility to inform themselves about the state of research on children’s rights without having to rely on adults. Our aim is to ensure that children can participate and cooperate in this work, challenging the learned adultism of grown-ups. At the same time, we aim at building a network of like-minded individuals and organizations to promote and advocate for children’s rights.
