We conducted a battery test using 5 devices: iPhone 14 Pro / Pixel 7 Pro / Pixel 6a / Xiaomi 12T Pro / Zenfone 9.
This time, rather than determining the superiority or inferiority of each device, we tested them with the hope of providing some guidelines for battery testing.
This is because there is no common battery benchmark application for iOS and Android.
PCMark has a measurement function called "Work 3.0 battery life," but unfortunately, the iOS version of PCMark is not currently released.
So, first, we will measure battery consumption by continuously playing a short YouTube video on 5 devices.
Next, we measured the battery life on four Android devices using PCMark's Work 3.0 battery life. Based on that data, we then calculated what the results would be if we ran PCMark's Work 3.0 battery life on the iPhone 14 Pro, and contrasted the results.
