The song is dedicated to Kazakh hero Aliya Nurmuhametqyzy Moldagulova who received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. She was sniper during Great Patriotic War (World War II) and died at the age of 18 in winter 1944.
The song is composed by Seydulla Baiterekov and the lyrics are by Bakir Tazhibayev
