The Hungarian Prime Minister greeted #PopeFrancis by acknowledging the country's attempt to follow the Christian path despite environmental setbacks. However, the Pope warned against secularization leading to polarization in a speech to Hungarian bishops, religious, priests, and catechists.
He acknowledged the Church's pastoral challenge but emphasized that force should not be the solution. Instead, answers should come from the Lord, not the world, and the tabernacle, not the computer. Pope Francis also cautioned against #Christians succumbing to "soft paganism" due to secularization.
The Pope also discussed the shortage of priests and the responsibility to welcome migrants in need. Hungarian Catholics gave the Pope a warm welcome at the Co-Cathedral of St. Stephen, with thousands following the event from outside.
