On Thursday, May 20, NYSE Euronext (NYX) with invited guests opened trading remotely on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) from the USA National Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

To highlight this special occasion, NYSE Euronext Chairman Jan-Michiel Hesseles rang the Opening Bell remotely from Shanghai, with NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan Niederauer joined by Mr. Huang Jianzhi, Deputy Director General, Bureau of World Expo Coordination, Beatrice Camp, US Consul General (Shanghai), and Jose Villarreal, Commissioner General of the USA Pavilion.
