The Mindanao Peace Initiative (MinPI) was launched in March 2009. Mindanao is an island in the Philippines that has been plagued with religious conflicts and land disputes for years. Insurgent attacks are responsible for many deaths and burned-down villages. MinPI's goal is to bring peace to these violence-stricken areas of Mindanao.

MinPI is a project under the Global Peace Foundation. Dr. Hyun Jin Moon is the founder and chairman of the Global Peace Foundation.
