2024 West Virginia Hillfest - Fastest Overall and First in Race Class - King of the Mountain Run
Two weeks before the event there were no plans to attend this event and a blown motor in the car. After some motivation from Kendall and Mary of Mechanical Advantage Racing I was convinced to get the car together and make the drive down to WV. I was enticed not only to scratch the racing itch but also hang out with good friends at the race track once again, which is something I may enjoy more than the racing itself.
The event couldn't have gone better. The car was fast and mechanically sound. The course took a bit to warm up to as it was fast in sections and required a large amount of confidence to push. But with just 4 runs on the hill I was able to put together a lap to be fastest overall and first in my class. I was blown away and couldn't have been happier.
Overall it was a great event and had an absolute blast hanging out and battling for position with good friends. The friendly trash talking and going back and forth made this race weekend one for the books.
