In this video I show you how I replaced the ceiling fan speed switch on our 3-speed ceiling fan.

TIP: Another way to separate the green half of the switch from the black side of the switch is to hold up the housing by only the green side of the switch. Then pop the three side clips off. As you pop out each clip, the weight of the housing will help keep the clips from snapping back in. The housing will separate and fall after you pop the three clips. Do this over a soft surface to avoid damaging the housing when it falls.
Make sure to check your wiring when putting the switch back together. I accidentally mixed up the wiring for L and 1 and the fan would only respond to the fast speed but it would shut off the motor on slow and medium.
