Not all corals are susceptible to the predatory advances of the Crown of Thorns starfish, Acanthaster planci (Linnaeus, 1758). During a particularly long decompression stop at 5 meters depth, Palikir Pass, Pohnpei, in the Federated States of Micronesia, the reef coral Goniastrea sp., was having none of the Crown of Thorns.
