On board a 1965 John Deere 4020, discing with Ransomes baronet disc harrow with following Cambridge roll. working down some heavy boulder clay on the north downs. This aera of the field was sub-soiled 10 inches deep with a flowking, pigtail cultivated at an angle, disced / rolled, pigtail cultivated again, drilled using the khun accord combi, and then flat rolled. Would liked to have done more as it was still a bit cloddy but rain was forecast so decided to move on and drill. A good decision as it did rain and the barley crop is now up looking good
