Like most other places in the world, Kenya has some truly impressive mansions. In fact, for the region, people have been shocked at just how many high priced super homes exist. Cities like Nairobi are on the rise and the real estate is certainly reflecting that by treating us all to some of the most gorgeous, opulent and controversial homes in all of Africa. Yes, the area might be rife with enormous homes that are worth millions but for every home there’s a giant controversy to go with it when people invariably ask, how did they get that money?
For instance, several politicians in Kenya have enormous estates that the richest people in other countries could only dream of. These homes are known for having huge parcels of land and a ton of amenities like jacuzzis, helipads, home movie theaters, airports and more. Perhaps the most decadent one even boasts its own private artificial lake. Because just owning a giant mansion wasn’t quite enough, a lake really needed to be built.
These enormous homes have caused quite the stir. They have brought more than a little unsavory attention to their owners. For instance, they have led many to further their suspicions that certain rich politicians in Kenya are massively corrupt. This has even provoked some to actually attacking the homes themselves in particularly dramatic fashions.
Despite that, there are still incredibly modern homes being built every year with higher and higher prices as time has gone on.
