I picked this up on a consignment from Hobbyking in their Black Friday sale for pittance (£1.38!)

This shocked me considering it was running on 3x1.2v rechargables instead of the full 3x1.5v non-rechargables. I would expect even better performance from it at 4.5 volts instead of 3.6v! - even on the rechargables it hit 310C in 25 seconds!
I'm pleaseantly suprised how usefull this is going to be in the pack/tool box
A couple of parts are sped up by 10x during heating but the fix in the field would trump any time constraints I think.
