September 27 - Charles Taylor's trial and other high profile cases are raising questions about the International Criminal Court. The African Union is to meet in October and will decide whether to pull out of the ICC altogether. That in turn raises other questions, though, regarding Africa's capacity to try its own war crimes suspects.
