India is working to secure the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, an accused in the 26/11 attacks, before the end of the year. Officials from the U.S. are currently in talks with Indian representatives. Rana has a 45-day window to appeal the extradition ruling in the Supreme Court. If he chooses to do so, the extradition process could be delayed by an additional 45 days, until the Supreme Court resolves his final appeal.
