Today's mail call came with a 4-pack of goodies from our friends at AMD, highlighted by two of their brand new EPYC 7662 server CPUs. The 7662 was launched in mid-February of this year and is AMD's 5th entry in the 64-core EPYC Rome server CPU family. The 7662 features support for 128 threads, a base clock of 2.0GHz (max boost clock up to 3.3GHz), 256MB L3 cache and 225W TPD. Of course it also supports PCIe Gen4, which is a big reason why we want these for upcoming high performance SSD testing. Enjoy this AMD EPYC unboxing.
