Meet our latest Early Career Ocean Professional: Samantha Dimitraki, Assistant Manager at Ocean Wise and National Program Assistant at ECOP Canada
Samantha grew up in the West Island of Montreal, QC, Canada, in a diverse cultural family (Quebecoise mother and Egyptian/Italian/Greek father)! She and her family traveled a lot when she was young, allowing her to grow her love for the OCEAN! She did her undergrad in Environmental Biology, volunteered and led group expeditions in Borneo, Malaysia, and in Fiji, and these experiences allowed her to develop a true passion for environmental education. She then continued her own education by doing her master's in Integrated Water Resource Management. She advocates for citizen science and Nature-Based Solutions when it comes to our water systems!
