This week we launched a Virtual Exhibition on a married couple who worked with Near East Relief to aid survivors in the aftermath of the Genocide. While the Genocide began in 1915, Near East Relief didn’t begin sending aid until 1919. That’s not to say that in the United States government and civilian efforts took this long to aid survivors, however. Click to listen as Collections Curator Gary Lind-Sinanian discusses early relief efforts leading to the creation of a centralized Near East Relief organization.
These “Object Show and Tell” videos from our collection are sponsored by a generous donation from Michele Kolligian, President of the Museum’s Board of Trustees.
