The RPO has a barrel type distortion whereas the Argus has a slight pincushion distortion but it’s noticeably less in magnitude. The RPO has
a good central resolution and the Argus also has good central res AND far better Zone2 Zone3 res. I haven’t been able to compare light transmission or flare suppression between the two but I can only assume RPO has better light transmission (that’s what it’s good for after all) but it’s also known for bad flare suppression.
