Scores of people gathered around the scene of a road traffic accident in Mansfield town centre on Saturday September 14th as fire officers worked to free casualties who were then treated by East Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics, police officers surrounded the scene and council wardens helped clean up the area.
No one was actually hurt in the incident -- it was planned and staged by members of Mansfield Partnership Against Crime (MPAC) and Mansfield Bid to help drive home the message about the dangers of drink-driving.
