Custom Jon Boat 2 Year Update
In today's video, we're giving you a performance update of our modded Tracker 1236 wide jon boat. It's been 2 years now since we bought the jon boat, and many things have changed since that day. Our goal is to share some of our thoughts about the boat itself, our usage, the modifications, and why you should consider buying one yourself!
We highly recommend this boat for beginners. As a relatively cheap entry-level boat, you can easily learn your essential boating skills without having to worry about damaging a more expensive boat. Your range is limited with the jon boat, so you can also stay close to shore to practice your navigation skills and learn your local landmarks. The small form factor also makes the jon boat easy to launch and clean, which means you can get out on the water much more often.
Stability is another great feature on the jon boat. Although we sometimes shift weight on the boat too quickly sometimes, we still consider it to be incredibly stable. It handles boat wake very well and its hardly ever a choppy ride to our destination.
The best feature about the jon boat is the custom modifications we've installed over the years. Overall, they have performed well, but continue watching the video for more details about each mod we've installed!
