The crime so brutal, it was a chilling reminder of the 2012 Nirbhaya Gangrape case. The incident has been reported from a village in the Ughaiti police station area in Badaun district where a woman from the village went to a temple on Sunday evening but never returned. The woman was allegedly gang raped and murdered by three men, including a temple priest, in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun on Sunday night. According to police, the woman had sustained injuries to her private parts. Two accused have been arrested, while the priest is absconding.
