In the fourth and final lecture of the 2017 Randy L. and Melvin R. Berlin Family Lecture Series, Nobel Prize-winning author Mario Vargas Llosa offers a fascinating account of his own creative process through his novel The Feast of the Goat. A Question and answer session follows the lecture using questions collected from the audience in lectures 1-3.
This is the fourth lecture in a four-lecture series presented in the spring of 2017 at the University of Chicago.
Named for Randy L. and Melvin R. Berlin, the Berlin Family Lectures bring leading scholars, writers, and creative artists from around the world to the University of Chicago. Each visitor offers an extended series of lectures with the aim of interacting with the university community and developing a book for publication with the University of Chicago Press.
