Humiliating experiences can change how we see ourselves and what we believe we’re capable of. To overcome this, we have to transform our self-image and embrace the unknown by focusing on growth, creativity and connection.
Dr. Mihaela Jekic is a financial coach, author and speaker. She helps professionals and entrepreneurs transform their money mindset, get unstuck financially, and build a business and life they love. She’s gone from losing everything during the Bosnian civil war and being a refugee to earning a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. She speaks and conducts workshops on personal transformation, financial freedom and resilience. Mihaela co-founded Money for Meaning and co-authored "Money for Meaning: Philosophy for a Life of Extraordinary Freedom." Mihaela is a speaker, author, life coach and entrepreneur. She fled to Canada as a non-English speaking refugee during the Bosnian civil war with no home or possessions. She went on to earn a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Ohio State University while fencing for the Canadian national team. After several years in this field, she felt a deeper calling to support young professionals, college students and aspiring entrepreneurs to ditch their debt and build financial freedom to pursue their dreams through her own company, Money for Meaning.
