Marty and I spent the weekend upcycling our greenhouse.
Marty built me one last year but we were a little late in getting things done, to Save time we covered it in temporary plastic.
Now not only was this ugly but it had problems.
So this year we have been collecting up old sash windows to clad the original structure.
So yay we completed the build at the weekend. And I have to admit it looks awesome. We painted it a sage green as we did have a Mish mash of lots of different colours of wood.
You can see by the pictures at the end it's kinda if Bilbo baggins build a greenhouse it would look like ours.
We had some windows left so we also put together a tiny greenhouse from small windows which is so cute.
These windows were going to the tip and landfill so we have not only saved these lovely windows going there but saved us money as there free to take away. You just need to ask a double glazing company in your area.
I thought to complete the build both the big and the tiny needed some vintage farmhouse style signs. A sign where it looked old and had that chippy charm.
Making signs is easy and I tried a new teqnique out and I was pleased by the overall piece at the end. Hope you like it too.
I got a new piece of wood of an old bed and used acrylic paint some paper a napkin and mod podge of course.
And when finished gave it 2 good coats of varnish.
Follow along as I make a vintage sign out of a new piece of wood.
Happy creating......
