IRS Economic Stimulus Checks - "Get My Payment" Keeps Them From Going Missing
Today, April 15 begins five weeks of CARES Act stimulus check disbursements, and the IRS has developed a portal that will allow you to directly input you bank information for faster and more accurate payment. "Get My Payment" allows you to see your exact stimulus check disbursement date, amount and method of payment and also redirect it to your bank account (instead of a paper check) for a much faster payment.
This short video (less than 5 minutes) will describe what the Get My Payment IRS web portal can do, and disclose the IRS URL before its release (about April 17th) so you can be one of the first to use this new service.
Why You Need This
The United States is working quickly to protect people’s health and economic future, and to get this country back on track. The $2.2 trillion-dollar CARES ("Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security") Act provides for $300 billion dollars in direct stimulus payments through economic stimulus checks. But because this stimulus bill moved really fast, the US government inadvertently can't find a lot of people!
