Don’t worry, you’re not alone! So what do you do if your practitioner recommends acupuncture? Step 1 is to take a big deep breath. And step 2 is to remember these important facts:
📍Acupuncture is nowhere near as painful as you might expect it to be. The needles are WAY thinner than those used for other medical procedures (the flu shot or drawing blood). They’re even nicknamed “the painless needle”
📍Acupuncture is a faster, more permanent solution to many types of pain than popping a couple of ibuprofen a few times a day. In addition to taking away your pain, it increases your circulation and reduces inflammation.
📍Acupuncture can even improve your mobility by relieving muscle/joint tension and numbness!
So if it doesn’t hurt AND it has big benefits, then there’s nothing to fear except fear itself! Because that fear could get in the way of your health and healing.
