Tutorial for weaving coffee bags. This envelope design has magnetic snap and a clasp to make it more functional. A fun and creative way to upcycle plastic coffee bags into durable and functional baskets.
For the weaving you need:
- empty coffee bags (at least 10 coffee bags)
- paper or cardboard
- a pen
- scissors
- clothespins or other clips
- durable wooden sticks or knitting needles
To join woven pieces, you need:
- string (e.g. gift wrapping string)
- a needle (I use 25 cm long Prym mattress needle)
- scissors
- cord for the edge
Size of the strips: 14,7 x 6,8 cm
Width of the folded strip: ~2,3 cm
You need 30 strips for this project.
Size of the envelope:
11 x 21 cm
