This is the first episode in a special series covering our new book Liberalism Unveiled: Forging a New Third Way For Singapore, published by World Scientific. The co-authors Bryan Cheang and Donovan Choy unpack the notion of Asian values and the challenge to liberal democracy in the Singapore context. Asian values advocates in Singapore include Kishore Mahbubani, Tommy Koh, and many more, and even today some still believe that liberalism is inapplicable beyond a narrow Western context.
