Stanley Myers (6 October 1930 - 9 November 1993) was an English composer who wrote largely for cinema and television. His Cavatina was first written for the film "The Walking Stick" and later adapted for "The Deer Hunter" as the theme song. A Cavatina is a simple short song. This Cavatina was originally written for guitar and is transcripted for the violin and piano.
