Hello and thank you for watching my video. This video is a tutorial on how to dismantle a Seiko 6119C movement. They are a fairly simple yet very well engineered movement. This particular movement was not been services since it left the factory in 1975! yet it was still running.
I will show you the steps I take to dismantle, the tools I use and talk you through how some of the parts interact with each other to make the watch work.
I am not a professional but a hobbyist who is rather obsessed with Seiko movements and watch restoration in general.

Sorry there is some loss of resolution in this video, I had to use a digital zoom in parts which does dramatically affect the resolution. Hopefully it does not ruin your viewing too much. I felt it was more important to see close up the movement and parts than a hi res picture.
